When Jordyn, owner of The Vessel ceramics studio, first began imagining what her business could become, she found herself drawn to a very specific place — Lincoln Mill. The building’s rich history, enduring character, and architectural beauty stood out to her from the very beginning.
“Lincoln Mill was actually the very first place I inquired about when we were originally searching for a studio,” Jordyn shared. “At the time, it felt like too big of a step for a brand-new business. But it never left my mind.”
Fast forward a few years, and The Vessel has blossomed into a vibrant hub for Huntsville’s creative community. The studio outgrew its 908-square-foot space at Stovehouse, with demand for classes and membership far exceeding capacity. That’s when the idea of Lincoln Mill returned — this time, not just as a dream, but as a real opportunity.

Behind the scenes, Crunkleton’s leasing team played a pivotal role in making that dream a reality.
“I reached out to Crunkleton more than a year ago to explore Lincoln Mill again,” said Jordyn. “Even though the timing wasn’t right back then, they stayed in touch and remained supportive throughout the entire process. When the right space opened up, they were ready to help us make the leap.”
Now, The Vessel is preparing to move into a 3,400-square-foot space within Lincoln Mill, a major milestone for the business and a meaningful addition to the growing redevelopment.
“Crunkleton’s team really understood what we were trying to build,” Jordyn explained. “Their encouragement, patience, and belief in our vision gave me the confidence to take that next step. It wasn’t just about leasing a space — it felt like entering a partnership based on mutual respect and shared investment.”
The new studio will include expanded class offerings, improved amenities, and perhaps most excitingly, a dedicated 24/7-access member space. This feature alone will allow The Vessel to grow its membership and better serve its creative community.
“Our mission has always been about more than clay. It’s about creating a space where people can connect, collaborate, and express themselves. With the scale and flexibility of our new studio at Lincoln Mill, we’re finally able to fully lean into that mission,” Jordyn said.
The Vessel’s move is just one of many exciting developments happening at Lincoln Mill, a historic Huntsville landmark that continues to attract forward-thinking businesses, creators, and innovators. Crunkleton is proud to support entrepreneurs like Jordyn, who help shape the culture and community of this unique space.
