High Point Climbing and Fitness celebrated the soft opening of its new 11,000-square-foot facility at Lincoln Mill on March 10, making way for more world-class climbing and training in Huntsville. After the success of its MidCity location off Highway 72, the concept decided to expand its Madison County footprint. An extensive search led the Chattanooga-based company to the historic mill on Meridian Street.

Cameron Canevaro, Director of Marketing and Communications at High Point, gave Crunkleton Commercial Real Estate the details about what guests can expect at the new gym. With plentiful bouldering terrain, hydraulically adjustable training walls, and a fully stocked pro shop, the site is set to capture climbers 14 years and older who are looking to maximize their skills. The gym has its Grand Opening tentatively scheduled for April 19-21.

Cameron said High Point at Lincoln Mill is one of its coolest locations yet thanks to its functionality, flexibility, and unique atmosphere.

“The architecture and natural light of our state-of-the-art bouldering gym sets the tone for an elevated experience,” he said. “It has everything you need to enjoy a fun and effective session. The space features top-end finishes and attention to detail has been a priority from the start. Plus, the diversity of the terrain is spot-on.”

Special promotions are being offered for a limited time for all wishing to join the new gym. From March 10 through the end of the month, High Point at Lincoln Mill will have a sale that allows climbers to save hundreds on an annual membership. They will also have the option of waiving the start-up fee for a monthly membership as a limited-time perk.

High Point at Lincoln Mill was created with specific goals in mind, which is why it was designed as a bouldering-only facility. Open to climbers 14 years and older, the new site caters to maximizing strength and power in one’s climbing with varying wall angles and adjustable Grasshopper training boards. Anyone of any fitness level can successfully train and improve. However, because the Lincoln Mill gym has tailored objectives, it will not include rope climbing or a Kid Zone. (Climbers interested in those features can visit High Point’s MidCity location.)

High Point is the largest operator in the Southeast with two locations in Huntsville and facilities in Chattanooga, Birmingham, Memphis, and Cleveland, Tenn. “No matter what your goals are, this gym can help you achieve them,” assured Cameron. “The shared space at the historic Lincoln Mill is a truly exciting project that we can’t wait for everyone to visit. We appreciate the support we’ve received from the Huntsville community, and we look forward to continuing to serve the area with this new facility.”
