Backyard barbecues are the perfect way to spend a summer evening, holiday, or an ordinary Tuesday if you’re in the mood for a dinner fresh off the grill. Local entrepreneur Patrick Pearson has been perfecting his grilling skills for decades and has decided to turn his passion into a new barbecue supply concept—Grill & Smoke BBQ Store. The new shop plans to open in February at 7950 Hwy 72 W Ste L Madison, AL 35758.

“My store will be selling and specializing in custom grills/smokers, barbecue rubs, sauces, cooking wood, and much more,” said Patrick. “Our large all-in-one grills are designed to make the process of barbecuing more convenient by giving users the ability to cook multiple types of meat at once. It allows the cook to worry less about grilling and more about spending time with loved ones at each backyard gathering.”

Patrick has years of experience with grilling as a hobby and as a competitor. His 12 years of competing in the game’s Backyard Division taught him many skills, techniques, and tools he could use to improve. And, while he loves winning, he said that the best part about competing is spending time with family and friends.

“All of the competitions are spent with people I love, and that’s what makes it special,” said Patrick. “Competing, along with the 20 years I have been grilling and barbecuing as a hobby, has led me to discover some of the best products on the market. Those are the items I’ll be showcasing at Grill & Smoke BBQ Store.”

If you see it on the showroom floor at the new store, you can rest assured Patrick has tried it and tested it himself. Everything has been vetted from the high-quality grills to rubs, sauces, and cooking wood.

“I have personally cooked with everything you will find on the shelves,” assured Patrick. “I decided to create the concept because I hadn’t found a place that offered the variety of seasonings, sauces, and flavor profiles I wanted. The brands I’m selling are ones I trust to bring out the best flavors in your final product. They are all selections that you can’t get elsewhere locally.”

The large-capacity grills at the new store will differ from the basic models found at major chains. They give cooks the ability to perform several types of cooking styles such as indirectly smoking meat or grilling directly using charcoal, cooking wood, or pellet wood. You’ll never sacrifice time or flavor. You can easily go to bed and wake up with perfectly cooked brisket.
