Your home says a lot about you. It reflects your style, values, and memories—it serves as a respite from the outside world. For a space that’s so special, you’ll likely spend time searching for ways to make it cozier, more elegant, and more YOU. Harvest & Home, a locally owned and operated décor, design, and furniture store, will open its doors at The Avenue Madison development in Q3 2022. The shop will offer clients convenient all-in-one services to turn houses into homes.

Harvest & Home began about six years ago as a business that built custom furniture,” said Kristin Lindsey, owner. “When the pandemic hit, we used that time to build upon our offerings by adding home décor and interior design consultations. By 2021, our clients encouraged us to open a brick-and-mortar. We have already outgrown that space and found our new home in downtown Madison.”

Due to the current supply chain, Harvest & Home has transitioned from offering custom built furniture to instead expanded its furniture line by adding five new brands. They have also added a custom couch line, entire bedroom sets, dining sets, and leather living room furniture. Guests at Harvest & Home will find beautifully curated home décor, furniture, on-staff interior designers, and a selection of products from local artisans. The robust home décor selection includes staples such as lighting, rugs, candle holders, mirrors, lanterns, dish towels, throw pillows, armoires, dressers—the list goes on and on. There’s also an interior design service that helps clients choose a style and create the look within their home.

“I will personally sit down with guests to discuss their vision and style,” said Kristin. “Once I learn more about their goals, we will find the products and options to transform their home. We aim to be a one-stop-shop for anyone wishing to refresh their space or completely redo a design. We can supply them with everything from tile to flooring and furnishings.”

Lindsey says The Avenue Madison will be the perfect location for Harvest & Home. Its surrounding neighborhoods, modern design, and co-tenant Honest Coffee Roasters are all exciting to the team. Plus, the location will be easily accessible and in the heart of downtown Madison on Sullivan Street and Shorter Street. They are thrilled to become a part of the development as well as the community.

“I have been a nurse for about 12 years,” said Kristin. “One of the things I value most about the job is the connections and relationships. I love helping people, and Harvest & Home is an extension of that passion. Before the shop was a reality, I was assisting friends and family with interior design on the side. Being able to connect with the community and helping them create a new vision for their home—without breaking the bank—is something I find a lot of joy in doing.”

Whether you’re a novice at interior design or a seasoned professional, the team will work with you to create your one-of-a-kind home. Kristin said they will also carry items from five local vendors that sell a variety of décor.

“We do a couple of other fun things like host classes in the shop,” said Kristin. “You can learn to decorate cookies or prepare a charcuterie board—those workshops are always full. We are open to offering new classes if requested. Lastly, we will be set up for weddings and gift registries so you can come and scan items to our virtual cart. However, it will be based on availability and a lot of items are unique or customized. We encourage guests to purchase the gifts from the registry as soon as possible to ensure they can get them.”

Anyone interested in contacting Harvest & Home about its services can do so by connecting on Facebook Messenger or by visiting its website at www.harvestandhomeco.com.

“We can’t wait to open our doors at The Avenue Madison,” said Kristin. “We look forward to serving the community and helping our guests create the home they have always dreamed of. See you soon!”
