In September 2020, we announced that the historic Lincoln Mill on Meridian Street would be undergoing a major redevelopment that would introduce new amenities and usher the property into a new era. A lot has happened since construction officially began in May 2020. Last week, the local news announced that a new concept was making its way to downtown Huntsville. This new convenience store, known as DGX, will open on the ground floor of the newly constructed city parking deck at Greene Street and Holmes Avenue. DGX is a creation from the Dollar General corporation “designed to meet the unique needs of customers living, working, and visiting vibrant metropolitan centers.” This is the first DGX store to open in the state of Alabama.

Lincoln Mill will soon welcome a Huntsville-based decorative plumbing fixtures studio to its campus. Heritage Kitchen + Bath, a fixtures showroom that features an abundance of beautifully curated brands, will move from its location on Washington Street into the redeveloped property on Meridian Street. Showroom Manager Heather Herrington said that the team was immediately drawn to the historic property and looks forward to becoming a part of a thriving interiors-focused neighborhood.
