Moments away from historic Downtown Madison, a new 256,715-square-foot mixed-use development is on the rise. Named The Avenue Madison, the project will bring the next wave of luxury living, dining, and retail options to the area.
Developers Charlie and Sasha Sealy are overseeing the endeavor and recently shared that they “are making great progress and look forward to opening in the summer of 2020 as planned.” This means it won’t be long until the area will have new restaurants and shopping within a gorgeous apartment community that offers sought-after, modern amenities.
Located on Sullivan Street near Short Street, The Avenue Madison aims to become a hub for comfortable living, exciting activities, shopping, and dining that adds connectivity and life to an already beautiful neighborhood.
Now, the Madison project is underway and Crunkleton will be handling the retail leasing for concepts that are looking to bring unique offerings to the city. It could be anything from fitness studios and boutiques to wine shops, bakeries, home décor, or coffee shops. The possibilities are endless!

Layered gelati, Italian ice, and soft ice cream will soon be available at the newly renovated Hughes Plaza in Madison thanks to a concept that’s growing quickly throughout the southeast. Jeremiah’s Italian Ice, a frozen treat shop that’s been serving sweet tooths since 1996, plans to open its first North Alabama location in a 2,048 square foot space between Just Love Coffee and Absolute Nutrition. Owners Todd and Alexis Bentley anticipate the opening to be in late summer or early fall 2022.
Honest Coffee Roasters – Huntsville is proud to announce that The Avenue Madison will soon be home to its newest location. After five years of serving the community with high-quality coffee beverages, açaí bowls, breakfast, and lunch at its Clinton Avenue site, the Honest team has decided to expand its reach by opening another location in downtown Madison. The new shop will be at 92 Shorter Street in a 1,919 square foot space on the west side of the mixed-use development. Owner and Operator Christy Wimberly expects the new shop to open in late Summer 2022.
