Last year, Crunkleton announced that a new Athens-based home décor and gift shop would be opening its third location at Stovehouse in its Gas Light Alley. We are excited to share that this Thursday (March 4th) Pimentoswill be opening its doors and welcoming Huntsville to visit, browse, and shop its beautiful and curated selections.
Owner of Pimentos Teresa Brodie left her corporate job after 25 years behind the desk to pursue her passion for entrepreneurship. For her, owning a business offered a chance to create relationships within the community, showcase unique inventory, and bring smiles to the many faces that entered her shops.
Teresa says that Pimentos takes time to know its customer—they ultimately become her friends. And she and her staff love helping guests pick out the perfect item to enhance the beauty of their home or to give at a wedding, baby shower, birthday, or other event. “We know most of our customers’ children, spouses, friends, and big life events because we build those relationships with each visit,” said Teresa.
There’s a lot to be found at Pimentos—everything from candles to throw pillows and kitchenware line the walls. We dropped by to get a sneak peek of a few items that will be in the shop.
Olivia Jackson, manager of the new store, says she is “thrilled to be opening this week at Stovehouse.” She also commented on how great the location was for the business and looks forward to welcoming all of her guests on Thursday.
Gas Light Alley is the retail center of Stovehouse, boasting an “old-world” vibe, string lights, and eclectic shops. Charlie Foster’s coffee shop and F45 Training are at the front of the alley welcoming visitors to the shopping district. More shops will join the area and offer additional concepts to visitors of the historic development.
Pimentos is busy unboxing and setting up the store before the big Thursday reveal! If you are looking for some unique home décor, bath and beauty items, candles, accents, and more, you will find what you’re looking for at this beautiful shop.
“Thursday is the big day,” said Teresa. “We are so excited and I can’t wait to meet everyone who walks through our doors. It’s a blessing to be able to bring another location to life.”
Pimentos is located in Stovehouse at 3414 Governors Drive SW.Follow them on Instagram @pimentosstovehouse for official hours of operation.
Last week, the local news announced that a new concept was making its way to downtown Huntsville. This new convenience store, known as DGX, will open on the ground floor of the newly constructed city parking deck at Greene Street and Holmes Avenue. DGX is a creation from the Dollar General corporation “designed to meet the unique needs of customers living, working, and visiting vibrant metropolitan centers.” This is the first DGX store to open in the state of Alabama.
A new gourmet burger restaurant recently opened in Jones Valley, inviting Huntsville to sample a menu of fresh casual fare that appeals to everyone in the family. Cheeseburger Bobby’s, an eatery founded in 2007 by Bobby Stoll, now has several locations as the franchise has grown in popularity throughout the Southeast. Its space at Legacy Marketplace in Jones Valley will serve the brand’s signature menu along with fast, friendly service.
