We love being able to share news with our city about new and fun concepts that are headed to the area. Two recent announcements got a lot of attention and we have been following along as progress is made at their spaces.
Jack Brown’s Beer & Burger Joint and Cookie Dough Magic will bring some exciting new dining, drink, and dessert options to the Downtown Huntsville neighborhood!
Here is the latest on their construction progress and projected opening dates.
Jack Brown’s Beer & Burger Joint – September
Renovations at 123-125 North Side Square finished up earlier this year, delivering modern updates to a property in need of a fresh facelift. One of the more charming features includes new balconies where tenants can relax and unwind while overlooking the streets below.
Now known as the Corner Office, the building is home to several businesses. But on the bottom floor, a 1,750-square-foot space is being transformed into a hangout that will serve quality Wagyu-beef burgers and beer. Soon, Jack Brown’s Beer & Burger Jointwill open up to hungry guests!
We first announced Jack Brown’s in January, and much progress has been made at its space. Jason Owenby, Jack Brown’s Director of Operations in Huntsville, said that construction is going very well and they are moving on pace to open September 1st. Until then, we will have to be satisfied with dreaming about their mac n’ cheese-topped “Greg Brady” burger. Not to mention its multitude of rotating drafts and seasonal beers to try.
When you enter, you can already see the bar taking shape where plenty of patrons will sit and sample their new favorite beer over a plate of hot sweet potato fries. Tiles are also going down on the floor and walls have gone up. We can’t wait for it to open!
Once the casual eatery opens, they will operate 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. seven days a week.
Cookie Dough Magic is bringing delicious edible cookie dough to the Rocket City with flavors like Brownie Batter, Chocolate Chip, Java Chip, Birthday Cake, and many more! Whether you get it in a waffle cone, cup, or signature push-pop, you’re sure to enjoy it.
According to Jon Heugel, construction is on schedule and the parlor expects to open July 3rd! It’s great timing for anyone who wants a fun summer afternoon dessert. And because Cookie Dough Magic will be open later than your typical dessert shop, guests coming from dinner and drinks will easily be able to stop by and end their night with endless scoops of cookie dough.
Inside, you can see walls going up and a counter forming where guests will choose their favorite flavors. Which one will you be choosing?
Hours at the shop will be from noon to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Sundays.
Cookie Fix will open a 1,232 square foot space at Twickenham Square located on Pelham Avenue near downtown Huntsville and Huntsville Hospital. The shop’s owner, Paige Brown, is excited to bring the bakeshop to the neighborhood and share her love for delicious cookies and family-run businesses. Cookie Fix has set a tentative opening date of November 2021.
If you’ve driven by the Lincoln Mill campus over the past few months, you have noticed many changes taking place.
