“I wanted to create a business that was personal—one that meant something to me,” said Brooke Busby, owner of downtown Huntsville’s newest home decor and gift shop. “Caley Paige Home & Gifts was named after my daughter and everything in the shop was handpicked by my family and me. I’ve been blessed with a lot of support on my journey to bring this shop to life. It almost feels surreal that we are opening at the end of the month. But I couldn’t be more excited.”
Located next to Honest Coffee Roasters in the Garage at Clinton Row, Caley Paige Home & Gifts is a home renovator, interior designer, and casual shopper’s dream. Actually, there’s something for everyone in store and gifts for all occasions and ages. From beautifully crafted furniture to soaps, candles, shirts, hats, stationery, baby clothes, and much more, this new addition to Clinton Avenue will be a welcoming space where visitors can browse in comfort.
The store plans to have its grand opening celebration the last week of September with giveaways, deals, and hors d’oeuvres.
“When designing the look and feel of the space, I threw around a lot of buzzwords like airy, calming, clean, and most importantly, approachable,” explained Brooke. “We’ve used a lot of white and earthy/neutral colors with a few accent pieces thrown in. I wanted it to be a low-key, tranquil space that blended modern and traditional furnishings. Much of the decor includes things my daughter and I love. She’s in high school but she’s into home decor as much as I am.”
At Caley Paige, guests will be able to discover the perfect gift or pick out pieces to spruce up their spaces. Many of the available furniture items are on full display and styled with decorative throw pillows, cozy blankets, and even artistic coasters nearby where you’d place your beverage. It’s easy to imagine how you’d utilize the decor in your own home.
“It was important to me that Caley Paige had something for everyone,” insisted Brooke. “You can find gifts for babies, teenagers, college students, moms, and grandparents. We made sure to stock up for everyone.”
Beyond home decor, there are walls of baby items like clothing, toys, stuffed animals, and nursery items. For the older crowd, beautiful white shelves are lined with sweet-smelling candles, vases, leather purses, hats, soaps, jewelry, t-shirts, stationery, notebooks, makeup bags—the list goes on and on.
“Opening Caley Paige has been on my heart for some time and a lot of prayers went into its creation,” noted Brooke. “Ultimately, I wanted to open a shop because I love people and I want to get to know them. I’ll be there every day greeting my customers and happily helping them find the perfect gift. I can assure you that Caley Paige has an owner who wants to be there for its clients. I’m thrilled to welcome new friends into the shop!”
When asked why she decided on downtown Huntsville and The Garage at Clinton Row for her new brick-and-mortar, Brooke said it was the obvious choice.
“Downtown Huntsville is becoming such an exciting area,” remarked Brooke. “I found myself going there all the time last year, whether it was to get a coffee at Honest or shop at the other stores on Clinton. My husband and I saw people walking around and hanging out at night, shopping all times of the day, and just enjoying the neighborhood. It’s a home for many people and we are excited to call it the home of our shop as well.”
Hours at Caley Paige will be Monday through Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Thursday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. While the grand opening will take place at the end of the month, you can follow the store on Instagram at @shopcaleypaige to get updates on the soft opening.
“I think a lot of people will be excited to see something a little different in downtown,” said Brooke. “We’ve got a unique vibe, one-of-a-kind offerings, and a warm, inviting space with an owner who is ready to get to know you. See you soon, Huntsville!”
